Young. Caps caly color to buckthorn brown (dark yellow brown); staining dark brown when bruised, dry, dull, tomentose. Context white, unchanging. Tubes 0.5-1 cm long, white-stuffed. Stipe bulbous, strongly reticulate, paler brown that cap, dry.
