U.S.A., Washington, Yakima, Okanogan/Wenatchee National Forest, Naches Ranger District. Bumping Lake, Swamp Lake Trailhead. From Naches, WA, drive west on Highway 12 to Highway 410 (Chinook Pass). Drive about 33 miles west on Highway 410 to the Bumping Road. Turn left onto Forest Service road 1800 (Bumping Road) towards Bumping Lake. Drive until road turns to gravel/dirt. Drive several miles to "Y" where Forest Service Road 1808 and Forest Service Road 1800 intersect. Turn right on Forest Service 1800 and drive to closed gate. Walk about 3.1 miles from washout after closed gate to site (last culvert before you come to the Swamp Lake trailhead (#970). Population is scattered on Forest Service Road 1800 and along the adjacent shoulder to the top of the cut bank.
