in patches of sand
small dry fruit bodies in sand, resemble “puffballs on a stick, ” with round bodies positioned on thin stipe. spore case light gray, rounded, dry and slightly bumpy, with a single pore in the center of the top. stipe very thin, browner in color that the spore case. Small-spore case <1.5 cm across, stipe ca. 2.5 cm long and very thin. Specimens probably fairly old, as spores had been released and bodies were very dry; fruiting habit: in patches in sand; odor none; taste gritty.
