on fallen logs
pileus to 5 cm, convex w/ inrolled margin becoming upturned and wavy, brown cinnamon color, smooth moist, becoming slightly wrinkled, margin ringed with faint silky patches, context fleshy, firm, to 5 mm, white, and mild (not garlicky). lamellae adnate with short decurrent tooth, thin, very close, to 4-5 mm deep, white, straining reddish in age, margin slightly eroded. stipe stout, to 2.5 cm x 1 cm, nearly cylindric, stuffed, surface pale tan above with white appressed fibrils, becoming darker brown toward base; fruiting habit: gregarious, common.
