pileus: circular, irregular shape; pale yellow; wave-like edges that thicken at ends. underside: lighter yellow; almost exclosed by top, very tough. stipe: tapers; same color as underbody; wide and thin; general aspect: saprobic on pine stump; almost pathogen in clusters on stump; odor earthy; taste putrid.
