PILEUS 9-30 mm broad, at first campanulate becoming umbonate to umbonate-irregular, moist, glabrous, when young some white tomentose material, translucent-striate, drying in streaks, 7.5 YR 4/6 (Sudan Brown), hygrophanous, fading to 10 YR 6/6 (Near Clay Color), disc 7.5 YR 5/6 (Ochraceous Tawny); CONTEXT 0.5-2 mm thick, odor mild to radish-earthy, young 7.5 YR 4/6 (Sudan Brown) fading as pileus color; LAMELLAE adnexed, just subdistant, 3-5 mm broad, acute, varying from crisped to entire, lamellulae 1-2 tiers, young 7.5 YR 4/6 (Sudan Brown ), older 5 YR 3/6 ( No Ridgway Equivalent) ; STIPE 15-45 mm long, 1-8 mm broad, + equal to slightly tapered at base, silky-fibrillose, hollow with pith chambers when younger, cortina white, leaving a few traces on stipe, very young initially dull whitish, older 10 YR 7/6 (Near Cinnamon Buff) to 10 YR 8/6 ( Capucine Buff); SPORES yellowish brown in water, elliptical, warty, 8-9.5 x 4.5-6 µm; CUTICLE not studied; COMMENTS.
