Notes: Small orange fungi on dead wood. Large alveolas on the underside rather than gills or pores. Seen in 2 places on the trail to Waipo'o Falls in Waimea canyon â" one almost at the falls, one 0.25 miles before the falls. I thought it was Favolaschia Calocera, but was told by an Academic that without microscopic analysis it was impossible to confirm that identification. I thought it was an invasive species that was not known at the time in Kauai, but could not get anybody excited about that. It's probably all over the place by now,
