Note: Determiner removed a small piece (HJB15703) of the collection for a study in Hebelomas of North America;; Pileus 30 mm broad, surface slimy, yellow brown, darker at center, with a low, obscure umbo; margin splitting; 7.5 YR 8/4 (Munsell) on margin, 7.5 YR 5/6 (Munsell), 6E8 (Methuen) in center; Flesh 7.5 YR 6/4 (Munsell), between 6C3 and 6D4 ( Methuen) below umbo, yellowish cream elsewhere; taste farinaceous, odor farinaceous; Lamellae uncinate / adnexed, crowded; margin finely crenate with 10x lens; yellow brown approaching deep yellow brown, regular; lamellae present, tapering; Stipe 45 mm long, 5 mm broad at apex; basal bulb 10 mm, yellowish cream, striate with scattered veil remnants; Microscopic characters: Spores strongly dextrinoid, callus present; measurements from lamellae, at 1000x; in water: N=16, range (9-) 9.5 - 11.5) x 5.5 - 6.5 (-7), average 10.2 x 6.1, Q=1.49 - 1.84, average 1.64; in Melzerās N=22, range 10 - 12 x 5.5 - 6.5, average: 10.9 x 6.2, median: 10.75 x 6.25, Q: 1.55 - 1.94, average: 1.74;
