Growing on the ground near the bank of the creek, another fruiting body of the same type nearby.
On very wet, grassy ground.
Cap a blue-grey color with the underside pore surface a lighter, bluer color. Cap more or less flat in shape with the edges folding over onto the pore surface beneath. Cap approximately 6.9 cm at widest point across when fresh. The pores on the underside run onto the stipe approximately 0.5 cm down from the beginning of the stipe. Stipe not centered; off to one side causing the cap to appear somewhat fan-shaped. White volva at the bottom of the stem with combined stem and volva length approximately 3.5 cm long. Inner flesh color white when fresh. Color change to brown when dried.
