Coastal chaparral, & along the edge of a parking lot; I'm going back and forth with bitorquis vs bernardii on this one. No obvious reddening from cutting. My nose sucks, so I can't speak to its scent all that much. These are tinier than what I normally expect of a torq, but that could also just be due to the habitat I'm used to seeing the them in. All the nearby mushrooms were about as young as these ones, so I couldn't look to an older specimen for better identification.
