Single specimen. In moss covered sandy soil in severely burned area of living ponderosa pine (Pinus ponderosa) at between 7000-7200’ elevation (fire 6/2014). Fruit body 70 mm high; hymenophore 45 mm high; sinus up to 5 mm wide and 3 mm deep; vertical ridges black, flattened, finely hairy; pinkish buff pits; stem color of pits with whitish granules and chambered enlarged base.
