Found associated with Paper birch in a SE Portland park. Not extremely large, but hefty/dense and probably 4-5 inches across. Cap dark muddy brown/black with tan highlights where nibbled by slugs. White gills becoming mottled greenish or brownish with age. Produces voluminous quantities of white latex which is acrid to the taste. (whew)
