Found in mixed Western hemlock/Douglas fir stand near bottom of Larch Mountain, at about MP 5.1; CAP: 2.3 inches wide (5.8 cm), pinkish-red center zone, with orange-buff. then light orange zone at the edge of cap, viscid/damp to the touch; GILLS: adnate to adnexed orange, with voluminous white latex at the least damage (this damage caused by a bracken fern frond); stipe somewhat striate, with noticeable bumps/enlargements along the length of the 4-inch stipe (10cm), yellowish-orange, bottom half inch of stipe with white rhizomorphs that easily separate from the stipe.
