Found by Hugh Smith, I believe he said under pine. These are kinda weird, if found in the mountains in the spring, I would call it an easy id, but wrong place, wrong time. Even with that, I don't think there is another id for these, except for H. subalpinus, with the all white color, the thick stature, and the fibrous veil. A strange find for the coast in the fall. Hugh mentioned that he found a good sized patch of these, and only brought in this one good sample.
