These were found growing near Madrone and Bishop pine. While they were not obviously viscid, they were a little sticky and holding a lot of debris. The flesh was light violet. KOH reactions; cap...reddish brown, cap flesh..sl. darkening, stipe..no reaction, stem flesh..sl. darkening. The spores were approx. 7.6-8.8 X 5.2-6.5 microns. The distinctive characteristic of the spores seemed to be that they were rather heavily warted for a Cort.
