Wasn't convinced this was a Cort initially but they seem to check out with the info I see on Mushroom Hobby and "Mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest". The cap was moist although not really sticky viscid and up to 4.6 cm across. It also appeared to be somewhat hygrophanous, fading to a light orangy tan. The taste was bitter. The spore print was more orangy than the typical rust color of a normal Cortinarius. Spores were ~ 6.2-7.2 X 5.0-6.0 microns and moderately rough.
