The first photos are of a young specimen. On 2/13/12 Else Vellinga picked up an old specimen that was lying loose at the same location. It had powdery orange gleba. She looked at it under a microscope at UC Berkeley on 2/15/12 and found the capillitium to be spiny, and the spores to have developed a yellow-brown wall with ornamentation. She determined this was Mycenastrum corium subsp. ferrugineum.
