Six fruitbodies found on decorticated hardwood log. Pileus: diameter between 1 and 4 cm, convex to broadly convex, yellowish to orange-brown, dry, densely squarrose. Stipe: approx 1.5 to 4 cm, covered in cinnamon colored erect scales similar to pileus. Stipe is glabrous at aproximately 0.2-0.5 cm from the apex to the fibrous ring. Lamellae: Yellow, becoming mottled with cinamon brown blotches, adnexed, close to crowded, Gill edges crenulate (notched/scalloped). Spore print: Cinnamon brown Spores: 7x4.5 microns, smooth, yellow brown, eliptical, no germ pore Taste: mildly bitter
