This fungi was a single specimen growing in forest soil an the side of an open area and on a steep embankment. Several features were apparent. There was no annulus visible. The stipe approximately 5"(inches) or 14cm, was firm to hold. The cap was damaged by insect attack. The cap was not sticky nor the stipe. The base was bulbous. No aroma or other identifying habits were detected, except for some light markings on the stipe similar to markings found on Amanitas. The area is a semi tropical forest with a large population of Palms and eucalyptus trees.
