Cap: 4-10cm, convex, then broadly convex up to flat with wavy margin, sometimes with cracks, smooth; color changed from light reddish- or pinkish-brown, yellowish-brown to grayish-brown or brownish-gray when old or wet, margin is lighter. Gills attached, thin and close to high density with additional shorter gills, moderately broad, dull cream up to reddish-brown or grayish-brown when old. Odor is unpleasant. Stalk: 6-12cm long, 1-2cm thick with indistinct tiny scales or somewhat velvety; white or cream-white up to reddish-brown; hollow, and fibrous when old. Habitat: common kind, small group or crowded cluster scattered in pine-tree forest. Edibility: poisonous. Season: June-September.
