Found at 11:21 am. Mycorrhizal, growing by itself in soil covered in leaves close to a hardwood tree, in an open/shady area of the woods. Odor: foul Pileus size: 4.5cm The top of the pileus had a few scattereed white dots stuck to the surface. Pileus color: tan/yellow with light brown patches Pileus surface: dry, dull, wrinkled, rough Pileal shape: deeply indented, broadly convex Pileus margin: with rolled margin Underneath the inrolled margin, this part of the gills is a dark brown colored area lining, but the rest is light brown Stipe color: cream, white, light brown (bruising and holes visible), more white colored near the base Stipe width: 2.4 cm Stipe length: 5.3 cm Stipe shape: solid, bulbous base, thick from the top to the middle of the stipe but becomes thinner toward the base Stipe surface: dry, dull Stipe base: inserted base Location of stipe: central Gill Attachment: arcuate, close together/no separation, runs down the stem Gill margin: wavy, almost sharp, pointed-like edges Gills are very dry/dull. There is no room to separate the gills, strongly attached to the pileus (almost as if they were glued to the surface) Gills color: light brown, tan Gills appearance: in the shape of wavy, curls.
