Growing on the ground, possibly on buried wood or woody debris, in mixed woods. Caps up to 3 cm across. Whitish particulates on cap probably from environment as most of what I found had the same material on caps. Cap somewhat radially appressed fibrillose. Odor fairly strong, perhaps fruity. Spore print thin but colored, light orangy. Spores not amyloid or dextrinoid. Spores ~ 7.4-9.5 X 4.0-5.2 microns, elongate lacrymoid, and sl bumpy. Did not see any gill cystidia. Initially thought they might be Gymnopus nivalis but stem is too tapered and odor and spores not quite right.
