Growing alone in the Big Sandy Creek Unit of the Big Thicket NP. Cap 11.6 cm across. Spore print thin, light colored. Spores ~ 9.0-11.0 X 8.0-10.0 microns, subglobose to broadly ellipsoid, with long spiny warts and a few short bands. The latex was somewhat creamy and didn't change color or immediately cause any staining but appeared to slowly develop some lilac tints. The spotting on the cap seemed interesting and even though the fruit-body was a little old, it seems to be close to L. subpalustris descriptions.
