My previous observations of Leptogium pulvinatum were either on soil or on bark but always among moss, which causes the thallus to be (appear) more erect. This time the thalli, organized in patches, developed directly on calcareous rock. The difference is significative and I first thought to be another, not yet observed species. This new grow form permits to observe even better the flat projections appearing at the margins of the lobes: Look and see!
