I haven't seen this species for several years, so I welcome it back... Several diminutive basidiocarps (in my experience, small habit is typical for this species) growing singly in a line in sandy soil on a mossy ridge along a dirt road under mature oaks and oak saplings and pitch pines. The pores, cap & stipe surface and context not staining any color. The context is uniformly lemon yellow. Chemical Tests: KOH = chocolate brown on cap pileipellis; amber brown on cap context. NH3 = instantly bright green, changing to medium brown in a few seconds on cap pileipellis; darker dingy yellow, resolving grayish on cap context. FeSO4 = no apparent reaction on cap pileipellis or cap context.
