Growing on forest floor with Quercus alba, Carya ovata, Acer rubrum, Tsuga canadensis. Contex and gills slowly slightly staining lilac from latex. The latex is white. Stem is hollow. Taste is bitter but not strongly so. I got a light spore print which appears to be pale yellowish but perhaps would be white if I had a heavier deposit. The stem is strongly scrobiculate. The margins are only slightly hairy and that is why I am suspect about this being L. speciosus. Also if the spores are truly yellow then this could be L. dispersus according to Mushroom Expert. Any thoughts?
