Cap: 6-10 cm wide when adult, convex, pale orange-yellow up to irregular coloured yellow-orange; some sticky when wet. Gills: attached, moderately broad, close, and pinkish-white up to pink when old. Stalk: 10-13 cm long when adult, often with bulbous base and irregular remnants of reddish cotton. Habitat: common kind, small groups scattered in wet places of pine-tree forest with some birches.
