This mushroom is small has white very slightly decurrent gills. Appears to bruise slightly yellow on cap and stem.Cap is about one inch .stem is fiberous and about two inches. The really outstanding feature is that this mushroom smells STRONGLY of gardenias. So much so that if you were blindfolded you could not tell the difference between the two. It looks similar to a T.canary but has white gills. Was found in January while above normal temperature around 50 60 degrees. In mixed pine forest of eastern North Carolina.
