Cap: 6-12cm wide, convex or broadly convex with indistinct broad knob, light reddish- and yellowish-brown. Gills: attached, close, moderately broad; cream-white or lilac-white up to light reddish-brown when old. Stalk: 8-16 cm long, reddish-white because veil remnants; 2 -3.5 cm thick and enlarged toward base. Habitat: single or small group scattered in pine-tree forest with rare birches.
