In May of 2012 I stopped at an area West of Bend, Oregon and stumbled upon this mushroom. This area is a Juniper and Ponderosa tree area with Sage Brush and Bitter Brush. This mushroom was partially underground and partially above ground under a Bitter Brush. As I do not have a microscope, dried sample was sent to Dr Michael Kuo, Per Dr Kuo: Spore print orangish to creamy. spores 8.5-11 x 7.5-8.5 um, egg shaped to ellipsoid, with amyloid, reticulate ornamentation extending 0.5-1 um.
