Growing in mixed woods. Caps up to 6.1 cm across. Spore print brown. Spores ~ 4.8-5.8 X 3.3-4.4 microns, broadly ellipsoid to ellipsoid, smooth and thin-walled. Q(range) = 1.25 1.47 Q(avg) = 1.34 n=18 Odor not strong and did not detect an almond or anise component. In first photo the remnants of a second ring appear near base of the stipe of the two fbs on the right. Scales appear too brown and bulb not abrupt enough for A. pocilator(?) The spores also appeared relatively lighter in color both on the print and under the microscope than the average Agaricus.
