Multiple fruiting bodies rowing from a healed wound on the trunk of a Water Oak (Quercus nigra) at about 10 feet above the ground. Tree located at edge of rural county road. (Fruiting bodies were first observed in this location in 2015.) Annual. Largest bracket, ca 10” across. Caps orange-brown with no zonations; velvet surface; light brown margins. Pore surface gray-brown. Pores, angular, 2-5/mm. Pore tubes, ca 5mm long. Setal hyphae present.
