Hard to prepare this species for the plate in a tasty manor. We tried marinating in teriyaki with high acid content to try and break down some of that chitin and make it more tender. Cooked at medium high until the sauce became a glaze, then removed and switched to another pan with some oil to brown on both sides. served over rice with broccoli and carrots. Came out ok, still not a desirable texture, personally. 3 out of 4 had no digestion issues, one person had gastrointestinal issues, including vomiting and abdominal pain the next day. She is ok now. Probably will leave this species alone unless somebody comes up with a good prep method.
