Found mostly buried near conifers ~ 7300 ft. Caps up to 9.5 cm across. Spores ~ 9.7-11.3 X 7.0-9.0 microns, broadly ellipsoid to ellipsoid and smooth. Q(range) = 1.26-1.39. I'm suggesting A. alpinicola over bleached A. aprica because these look very similar to the photos in the Mycotaxon description and also the spores are a closer match. A. alpinicola has slightly smaller and rounder spores than A. aprica.
