Pileus: 5 cm wide, orangish with central depression. Cuticle peeling 1/3-1/2 Stipe: 4 cm long, 1.5 cm wide Habitat: Found in mixed woods near pine and various hardwoods Taste: Mild The stipe context appeared to bruise very slight red/pink at first, then clearly gray after a couple hours. This appears to match the description of Russula decolorans, except for the very slight pinkish red bruising initially. Another option appears to be Russula claroflava, but again there is no mention of a red stage, and the description of that states that the pileus is almost always completely yellow. The Russulales news key also suggests Russula barlae, but I couldn't find much information on that species.
