A very late fruiting of a single robust sporocarp. Growing next to obs 339034 and obs 339050 in mixed deciduous woods of beech, tulip poplar and oak (all three tree species were in the immediate vicinity, but beech is the mostly likely host), no conifers. The cap is 7.5 cm wide. The cut flesh turning brownish within a couple of minutes following dissection. Flavor slightly bitter right away, but then mild.
