Associated Material: Photograph Pileus: fruiting bodies to 6 cm tall, rosy, pinkist tan when frest; fade to pale pinkish buff on drying. Caps acutely conic, robust browish flesh color overlain & rose pink to clear & bright maroon. End in a sharp nipple -like umbro (acuteconic) to 2 cm tall x 2 cm diam. at margin. Context: Pinkish buff watery thin, mild taste & fruity fragrant odor. Lamellae: Attached adnate to sl. sinuate, 3-4 mm wide. Widely separated, 1-2 intermediate. No veins. Roughened edge with lens ? Cheilocystidia. Spores: elliptical smooth hyaline & 1-3 small oil drops, amyloid 8.5-11 (13) x 6-7 microns. Micro by Vera S. Evenson 1977: caulocystidia fusoid ventricose 30-40 x 16-18 microns; thin walled, hyaline. Gill trama - parallel & long slender cells. Pleurocystidia, thin walled hyaline, cylindric to ventricose fusiform, some (iligible) finger-like projections, 60-75 x 10-15 microns. Cheilocystidia same only sl. shorter, abundant. Cuticle: (illegible) thin walled cylindrical cells pellicle and hypoderm distinct - no lactifers seen Specimen card contains sketch of fruiting body.
