Habitat: Habitat: ancient forest; Tsuga heterophylla, solitary.
Occurrence Remarks: Macrodescription: Pileus: 44 x 36 millimeters, convex-umbonate with acute papilla, glabrous, slighly zonate with inrolled edge; viscid; disc and margin more yellow than XXIX Tawny Olive and Clay Color, edge XXX Cream Buff 19 inches diameter, Odor: farnaceous; Taste: bitter farinaceous; Context: pileus context 12 millimeters high, staining red; no incsect damage; dry and in good condition; Lamellae: narrowly adnate, between Cream-Buff 19 inches diameter; Stipe: 135 (62) x 13 (18), swelling above insertion point before tapering, apex Cinnamon Buff, glabrous and shiny and polished with no apical flecks and no longitudinal stria; dry azonate. stuffed with sold XXX Cartridge Buff 19 feet pith staining red, Pseudorhiza, intact, with curled terminus. Microdescription: Fresh in KOH, Basidiospres 8-9 x 5 micrometers, light amber and finely punctate; amygdaliform to slightly limoniform; Cheilocystidia: clavate, forming dense gelatinized barrier on gill edge; Clamp connections present on basidia and gill tramal hyphae.
