pileus to 8 cm broad, surface silky fibrillose when young but soon becoming smooth, nearly black 5F3 to dark grey with a faint vinaceous tint, 8F3-4. lamellae 6D2-3, decurrent, anastomosing over stipe. stipe short cylindric, white to greyish 6b2-6C2, tomentose; general aspect: long description; fruiting habit: cespitose.
