young specimens. pilei lateral-excentric to spathulate, 1-3 cm long, 2-3 cm broad, surface smooth, silky fibrillose over disk, dark olive brown near margin 5F4-7, lighter and more yellowish toward disk 4C4-5, margin downrolled/inrolled in young specimens, lighter colored as disk. context white2-8 mm, firm, odor mellony, taste farinaceous. lamellae short decurrent, thin, 1-2 mm deep, with 2-3 tiers of lamellulae, grey, 5D2-3, margin lighter, even. stipe cylindric to short clavate, firm, 1 cm x 5 mm, white to light yellow 3A2-3; general aspect: long description; fruiting habit: cespitose.
