rich montane rain forest, dominated by red cedar and some Nothofagus in places

pileus red brown to yellowish, radially striate with dark umbo, 3-5 cm, surface moist cellular. flesh thin, no odor or taste. lamellae ywllow, anastomosing near attachment, to 3-7 mm deep, stipe tough, to 2.5 cm, dark brown, covered with hairy fibers.
