basidiome fleshy, pleurotoid, fan shaped, either central or laterally stipitate, pileus to 8 cm broad, convex with slightly depressed disk, surfrace smooth, moist, pale brown when young, becoming white when expanded, margin inrolled, slightly undulating in larger speciments. flesh thin, white, and pleasant and mild. lamellae close, decurrent, white, to 3-4 mm deep, thin, margin entire. stipe to 3 cm x up to 1 cm, tapering toward base, stuffed or hollow, fleshy, surface white, nearly smooth, sometimes slightly pruinose or tomentose, especially near basal attachment; fruiting habit: cespitose, gregarious; spore print color white.
