sp. oval-ellipsoid, minutely rough, 3.5-4.2 by 5.2-6.5(7) microns. Fructifications 7-10 cm. high, 3-6 cm. broad; whole plant "buckthorn brown". Branches main stem 1-2 cm. long by 3-7 mm. diam., secondary branches gradually smaller & numerous, crowded, slender, round , angles rounded and open, whole plant flexible, tips acute. Flesh white, slightly estringent to taste; odor none or mild. Surface here and there with witish bloom, or again with reddish brown scurfiness. Mycelium white. Spores buckthorn brown in mass."...
