[notes in Alma Holland Beers' hand:] Cap distinctly viscid; marginal two-thirds water-soaked, dark brown, striate with extreme edge white from veil fibers; center abruptly lighter buff; Stem whitish-scurfy, darker at base. Sp. [spore] about 4.6 microns, mostly ovate, few jar-shaped.
