This is one of the very destructive coffee diseases. It was found in great abundance in the neighborhood of Mayaguez, killing numerous branches in much the same general way that the pear blight does. The leafe at "a" clearly shows the web of fungus on its surface, and strands of the fungus down the twig. The portion at "b" shows the under surfaces of the leaf with this film partially stripped off. The leaf at "c" is entirely whitened by the fungus on its lower surfaces.
