1743. Pale olive-buff to deep olive-buff, ceraceous pruinose when fresh. Marhin rather abrupt, granular. 200-450 u thick. Trama of 2 types of hyphae. One narrow, 1-2.5 u in diam, thick walled and the other very thick, 6.5-8 u diam. and very thick walled, being contination of the cystidia. Cystidia long, cylindric, blunt pointed, very thick walled with a slightly expanded ellipsoid apex which is abruptly thin-walled. Cystidia arising at the base of the tama and emergent up to 100 u, 8-10 u diam. Spores narrow allantoid, 5-6.5 x 1-1.5 u. Cracked when dry (also near P. pirina B&C)
