On sticks + leaves in cold bog near sphagnum beds
Recorded by Curtis (as M. paludosa Fr.) as common in swamp land. Spores hyaline, long-elliptic, many curved and some ponted, 3.3-4 x 11-22 micrometers, borne in asci long-clavate, about7.5 x 110-135 micrometers 2 rows in the distal end of the ascis
