Brook just west of West Fort Ann. Unknown if there are falls.
specimen from this collection sent to Dr. CG Lloyd who verified it 1918-02-28 saying "Hydnum albenigrum Pk. which I think is the same as Hydnum nigrum of Europe." also another collection taken along Halfway, southbank of Tripoli pond, Southern West Fort Ann, 1917-08-26. This is one of our commoner species, if not communist species in this region; usually growing somewhere near hemlock trees. (I do not find stiptate Hydnums here so very abundant or often).[specimen attributed to S. H. Burnham based on collecting location, date, and typed notes.]
