Growing in dense clusters on a well rotted hardwood log. The same log also had a fruiting of Phlebia tremellosa (collection# 2013100801) fruiting at the same time.
Fruiting bodies to 3 cm tall, 1.5 cm wide, pear shaped, dry, more or less smooth (slightly spiny in some specimens), pale brown that is darker towards apex and lighter below. Sterile base prominent, with large masses of white mycelial cords growing through the substrate. Gleba smooth, white.
