Growing from dead bark of hardwood and among duff. The bark was found on the ground. Growing gregariously.
Pileus 0.5 cm - 1 cm wide (one specimen was larger at almost 2cm wide), white or creamy, broadly convex and conspicuously pleated, with a central depression that is darker than the cap (off white to buff). Gills white, or colored like cap, distantly spaced, attached to the stipe by a circular collar. Stipe 1.5 mm or less thick, wiry, to 4 cm tall, dark brown to black below, with a gradient becoming whitish near the attachment to the pileus. Spore print white.  Odor and taste not distinctive.
